Height-adjustable desks

All Adapwork desks feature a height adjustment function, allowing them to be adapted to the user's height and working position — whether sitting or standing. Adjustable Adapwork desks are ideal for those who spend most of their workday at a desk and strive to take care of their health.

First and foremost, height-adjustable desks are recommended for office employees, IT specialists, designers, freelancers, gamers, financiers, schoolchildren, students, and anyone who spends a lot of time at a computer.

Each height-adjustable desk in our catalog is a product of the Ukrainian brand Adapwork. The selection includes modern, minimalist designs in neutral color palettes. For those who appreciate a classic style, there are models with tabletops featuring a wood-like finish.

How does an Adapwork adjustable desk work?

A standing desk allows one to adjust the height of the tabletop, adapting the workspace to the user's individual needs. The operating principle depends on the type of mechanism—electric or manual.

All Adapwork Adapdesks are equipped with an electric lift mechanism, a spacious tabletop, and two stable legs. A motor is installed under the tabletop to drive the lifting mechanism. The legs contain telescopic segments with built-in electric actuators, ensuring synchronized raising and lowering of the tabletop.

The height adjustment range comes in two options: 70–114 cm or 70–120 cm, depending on the model. You can also choose a desk with one or two motors. The motor is designed for active use and heavy loads. Models are available with a maximum load capacity of 80 kg or 100 kg (excluding the tabletop weight).

Control is carried out via a touch panel, mounted under the tabletop. The panel features a digital display showing the current height in centimeters and includes a memory function that allows saving up to four custom height settings.

The lifting speed of the tabletop depends on the number of motors:

  • One motor – 20 mm/sec
  • Two motors – 25 mm/sec

The use of modern technologies and optimized software guarantees quiet, smooth, and highly comfortable operation.

Adapdesks are equipped with an energy-efficient power supply that minimizes energy consumption in standby mode. The mechanism also includes overload and overheating protection, ensuring the absolute safety of the smart system.

It is important to note that for full functionality, each height-adjustable desk requires a direct connection to a 220V power outlet.

How to expand the functionality of a height-adjustable computer desk?

Our catalog offers basic desk models, which are already fully functional workstations. However, each desk can be enhanced with accessories that facilitate the work process.

On the Adapwork website, you can purchase caster wheels with a locking function, allowing for easy movement whenever you want to change the desk's location.

For greater convenience, the table can be additionally equipped with a cup holder, a hook for headphones, and a cable management system.

How to choose a height adjustable desk?

When selecting a height-adjustable desk, the primary factor to consider is the user's height.

For sitting work, the optimal tabletop height is calculated using the formula: height (cm) × 0.4. For example, if a person is 175 cm tall, the ideal desk height would be 70 cm.

For standing work, the height is calculated as: height (cm) × 0.6. For example, if a person is 175 cm tall, the tabletop should be set at 105 cm.

A properly chosen desk reduces strain on the neck, back, and wrists, decreasing overall muscle tension. Studies confirm that using a height-adjustable desk can help prevent or reduce the risk of several health issues associated with prolonged sitting:

  • Extended sitting increases spinal strain, leading to degenerative disc disease (osteochondrosis).
  • Incorrect posture while working causes spinal curvature and poor posture. Scoliosis most commonly develops in childhood, so it is crucial to ensure your child's health now.
  • Prolonged sitting causes circulatory stagnation in the pelvic area, which may lead to reproductive health problems in both men and women.
  • Static positions — whether sitting or standing — impair venous circulation, potentially causing varicose veins. Doctors recommend alternating between sitting and standing every 30–60 minutes.

Each Adapdesk comes with a 5-year frame warranty and a 3-year motor warranty. Delivery is available nationwide via any convenient shipping provider.

How to properly adjust a height adjustable table?

To properly set up a height-adjustable desk, several conditions should be met.

  • When working while sitting: elbows should be positioned at a 90–100° angle; feet should be flat on the floor; knees should be bent at a 90–110° angle; the top of the monitor should be at eye level or slightly below.
  • When working while standing: elbows should be at a 90–100° angle; shoulders should be relaxed and not raised; body weight should be evenly distributed.

Regularly alternate between sitting and standing to avoid fatigue and reduce spinal strain.
